Market Street market went ahead on Saturday 14th March, unfortunately there were not a lot of people around in the town. Several traders from all parts of town told me that they were quiet that Saturday,

The market ran at a slight loss for the Chamber which bore the cost of the adverts, street closure fee and set up costs, however as the whole idea is to keep Nailsworth alive and kicking through the recession, it is considered to be a fair expense.

We need some-one to organise the next street fair which has been provisionally booked for Saturday 13th June 2009. If no-one steps forward then it will not take place. Anybody who wishes to volunteer should contact me either on 01453 835222 or e-mail me on lakesidegarage@gmail.com

Suggestions and ideas for the other dates are needed. Perhaps the December date could be a Goodwill day instead of an evening. We need to involve all traders in the town in an effort to keep Nailsworth in business.

Lets not sit back and wait but show off our Town. Please talk to one another and pass this message on as I have not got everyone's email address.
